In order to attract children’s interest in reading in the current era, Mahapadma Parartha Foundation has donated various story books, fairy tales, moral and religious education as well as science topics at the An-Nuur Reading House. As we know, there are many benefits for children in reading fairy tale books, such as training cognitive development, improving verbal skills, expanding vocabulary, and many other benefits.
This activity was carried out on July 2, 2020, at the An-nur Reading House. As many as 23 children who attended seemed enthusiastic and happy with this activity, accompanied by their respective parents.
The event was opened by Mrs. Iyut, the Principal of PAUD An-Nuur, and the speech was given by the Chairperson of the Mahapadma Parartha Foundation (MaPa Foundation), Mrs. Juliani W. Luthan. This event featured the storyteller Ibu Pipit, who was accompanied by her doll telling stories about moral propriety and the determination to keep promises that are very important to uphold. The storytelling event was getting more exciting, because the children were scrambling to answer the questions posed by Mrs. Pipit in a witty manner. And if the answer is correct, the child will get fun little gifts. At the end of the event, Mrs. Juliani also distributed various sweets, chocolates and drinks. It was really fun, cheerful and full of laughter for the participants of the fairy tale reading event on that sunny afternoon.
Seeing the positive response given by the children, the foundation managers were even more enthusiastic to develop other activities related to reading books. Hopefully An-Nuur Reading House will be a place for future generations to always love books. As the saying goes, books are windows to the world, meaning that the wider the horizons that will be obtained for those who like to read books.
See you at the next event!
